The year one children have been learning all about materials in our science lessons and we found a great Bug Club book to help us identify different materials and their uses. The last page of the book talked about recycling which led to a great discussion about how we can reuse and recycle in our school.

Caring for our plants & creatures
Year 2 have been super scientists this week, we have been exploring micro habitats in our lovely secret garden. We have observed and drawn plants and creatures that we found. We have been looking after them & being super careful with their habitats.

Welcome to Lily-Mae and Adam , who are the Year 5 eco-councillors for 2021-2022. Doubtless, they will do a sterling job.
Choosing our Eco Council!
Today, Year 3 were using their right to vote to select who they wanted to represent them in the Eco Council. We discussed the British Value of Democracy as we did this. Eco reps will be announced next week. I wonder who will be the Year 3 reps?
Voting for our Year 6 eco councillor
Today the children in year six voted for our eco councillors. We showed democracy by voting for the person who we thought would be the best candidate. These will be announced in assembly next week.
